The Baneful Choir
11:18
|
|

Same as generations pass
Nature goes by and wisdom dies
The ancient ties are
severed by technology and lies
Disoriented kind swarms in denial
Cowering from the passing time
Look at them penitents
Staying tranquil in the eyes of storms
Look at them, expectants
with hopes beyond this world
The only ones
honest to themselves
outcast by men and themselves
Look at them, apologists
Offering to return their flesh
Grazing on the fields belonging to our progenies
The baneful choir of imbeciles
We abhor the weakness of animal instincts
We are the apex destroyers
Pestilence and war, brother,
are our gifts to the world
for as long as it bleeds
We are a locust-inspired horde
Devoted to pleasures of flesh
as long as it bleeds
Together we stand alienated,
a nightmare lit by a dying star
Neglected, raised for hatred.
Neurotic, self-centered
Self-destructive, we are the loudest evolutionary error
Pinnacle life form, no irony is lost
- for as long as the earth bleeds -
overfed and collapsing
Easy times produce the worst kind of any.
And nothing is as easy
as to rant about the guilt of mankind
as if we are excluded
The real choice is whether to join the baneful choir
or to take your life
For as long as the Earth bleeds
Pestilence and war, brother,
are our gifts to the world
for as long as it bleeds
We are a locust-inspired horde
Devoted to pleasures of flesh
as long as it bleeds

Point of No Return
10:51

New age shaped by information
A gamble with civilization
Instant answers within reach
Unimaginable knowledge, a cure for ignorance
We‘ve bet everything on a false premise
That ignorance is the root of our evil
The age of information
satisfies our voyeuristic nature
We delight in witnessing violence
And fabricate our narcissistic effigies
Oversaturated instincts
Bring out our inherent evil
Arrogance, ignorance, depravity
Shameless immolation of humility
As we drown in the man-engineered maelstrom of words
one thing becomes obvious.
We have constructed a reality so intricate
We question everything
We won’t see our doom coming
The apocalypse is slow and boring
Serve your sentence in the prison of your mind,
desensitized, drenched in blood, sex and comfort
First, we sacrifice our humanity,
one step at a time,
and no one will fight our ending…
We‘ll watch the world burn indifferently
I invoke doom
Decline in abhorrence
Antagonistic algorithms, industrial scale alienation, manufactured fear
Convenience tax is rising, debt of consciousness collapsing
future is canceled until further notice
Attention economics, identity markets, desperate competition
Dehumanized anthropomorphic aberrations
Let’s sacrifice another generation
Face once again the surprising revelation
We have long crossed the point of no return
We have trampled our hope for happiness
while chasing dominance

The Beauty of Mankind
11:35
|
|
||
So many days
In so many years
In baseline despair
We dwell, collectively insane
We were brought into this world as spectators
Naive and unaware, we are being lied to
In time we learn to lie to ourselves
What stays sincere is left unspoken
I… I am cold and I am afraid…
Of the emotional nuclear winter
we build for ourselves, a prison of fear.
For I have seen the beauty in mankind
Step away from grace, step away from obliteration
as the birds fall from the scorching skies
Searing air fills my lungs
As I choke on dust
I watch my beloved ones
toil to fix what they didn’t break
Lifelong struggle spent in shame
Cast by those unwilling to act
yet eager to suffer under the
collective guilt searing our skin
I… I am cold and I am afraid…
That my life is just a dead weight,
a burden to a dying world
NO ONE WILL MOURN
No one will be left to mourn the carcass of this world
Its bones bare and broken
Even the tallest monument of concrete will turn to a desert
our legacy forfeit
Until that happens
We’re eager to suffer
In guilt we‘re indebted
and so will be our children
I’ve seen mankind’s beauty
and wanted to follow it
it led me to insanity
I now see all around me

Coronation of Mediocrity
12:14
|
|
||
Every day grows more alienated
than all the previous combined
So many hopes buried, so much disappointment
I was looking for so long and so desperately
to find an immanent goodness within me,
one all men could share
I found an abyss
For as long as man walks the earth
we search an object for our faith
Merciless is our kind’s demand
to place an order and purpose where there’s none
Instead of good, we are born with gaping wound,
a pain we must find a way to explain
Truth is uglier,
truth is scarier
than we could have
ever foreseen
Luminous ichor pours from the skies
We have constructed our own gods
to devour them in the end, to sanctify violence
Now the flesh of the divine is served
as we feast on the ignorance of the past
So proud, so fresh, a coronation of mediocrity today
What a vicious circle
growing up to learn
the reason is quiet
ignorance thunderous
What a vicious circle,
what an ugly thing,
what an ugly thing to learn
The immanent, innate pain
of the eight billion souls full of blame
Ignorance always finds a way
for violence to end up glorified
Foolish is one who holds hopes high
for the spiteful world of indifference
For as long as man walks the earth
we search an object for our faith
Merciless is our kind’s demand
to place an order and purpose where there’s none
Instead of good, we are born with gaping wound,
a pain we must find a way to explain
Truth is uglier,
truth is scarier
than we could have
ever invent
Luminous ichor pours from the skies
We have constructed our own gods
to devour them in the end, to sanctify violence
The immanent, innate pain
of the eight billion souls full of blame
Ignorance always finds a way
for violence to end up glorified
